BMG Resources Limited has a free carried minority interest in the Treasure Project following the divestment of a majority interest in 2016. The Treasure Project is highly prospective for base (copper, nickel, zinc, cobalt) and precious (gold, silver) metals in the Troodos Mountains of the Republic of Cyprus, where copper has been mined for over 4000 years. Recent discoveries by BMG at three of the prospects have confirmed that Cyprus is very prospective for these metals. The Treasure Project comprises 10 licences in four (4) separate areas (Black Pine, Kalavassos, Kambia, Vrechia) for a total of ~36.7 km2. The licences include numerous known prospects and abandoned mines. In 2014, BMG successfully drilled their Pevkos and Mala Prospects and identified high-grade sulphide mineralisation at both. These results complement BMG’s 2013 drilling results at the Laxia Prospect where high-grade copper-gold-cobalt veins were discovered. BMG is continuing to explore in Cyprus by stepping-out from their recent discoveries and searching new prospects. The near-term aim is to establish JORC resources.
